Marshals required for 2008 24hr! PDF Print E-mail

Marshals of all grades are required for the weekend of August 8th/9th/10th August for "the" 24hr event of the year! The August date will (hopefully!) provide warmer and dryer weather than last year's event, which never the less was throughly enjoyed by everyone who was involved, due to the efforts of the competitors and teams not only on track but also with the hospitality & camaraderie provided for the marshals throughout the weekend.

As those who have assisted in previous years have discovered, this is a fun packed weekend, with the full support of the Classic 2cv Racing Club and BARC, who are providing a support race programme on the Saturday.

I would especially express my sincere appreciation to Simon Leith for providing the Marshal’s Prize Hot Laps in the Britcar BMW of which Pat Fairhead was the lucky winner. (pics follow)

Well we are short on numbers on the bank and I thought I could not do this to my fellow marshals. I had previously only marshaled 1 2CV race before, and not from one of the better posts...
